Age & General Suitability

Why are they not suitable for puppies under 14 weeks?

The supplements aren't designed to complement early stage nutrition as our early puppy kibble is already designed to provide this higher level of support already. Pups of this age are already facing lots of changes (new homes, vaccinations etc), therefore we don't recommend adding in another factor. 

Medical Conditions & Medications

Can supplements be taken alongside other medications?

If your dog is currently on any medication, we recommend speaking with your vet before introducing our supplement chews.

Are they suitable for dogs with diabetes?

In most cases, yes! However, we always advise checking with your vet before starting any new supplement for a diabetic dog.

Are they suitable for dogs with pancreatitis?

No, our supplements are not suitable for dogs with pancreatitis. With fat levels starting at 11.3% and above, they could trigger a flare-up. Please consult your vet for alternative options.

Are they suitable for Dalmatians or dogs with Leishmania?

Our chews contain high-purine ingredients like pea protein and green-lipped mussel. Because of this, please consult your vet before giving these to Dalmatians or dogs managed for Leishmania.

Are there any other health conditions to consider?

• Digestive Issues: Higher fat content in the skin and coat supplements might make them unsuitable for dogs with digestive issues but this will depend on your dog and their exact issues. It would be worth consulting your vet for more advice.

• Swallowing Difficulties: Dogs who struggle to swallow may struggle to consume these chews.

• Cancer or Heart Failure: If your dog has been diagnosed with cancer, heart failure or another health condition, we'd recommend speaking to your vet before purchasing our supplements.
