What is a hydrolysed diet?
This type of diet uses a process called hydrolysis to gently break down protein molecules into much smaller pieces – this way, your dog’s immune system is much less likely to react to the protein. When diagnosing food allergies in dogs, vets often recommend hydrolysed protein because it’s very unlikely to cause an allergic reaction.
Do you offer hydrolysed diets?
No we don't offer hydrolysed diets. Although we use some hydrolysed protein in our salmon kibbles we can't provide a completely hydrolysed diet - This is a specialised process, so these types of diets are generally only available as prescription diets.
There are some diets out in the UK that use only hydrolysed proteins, but your vet would be able to advise on this.
