I'm still seeing fleas after using the treatment
It can be incredibly frustrating to spot fleas after treating your pet, but please rest assured: our treatments are extremely efficient and kill fleas within 48 hours. If you are still seeing them, it doesn’t mean the product isn't working. Here is why it happens:
The 5% Rule
Only 5% of a flea population actually lives on your pet. The other 95% live in your home environment (carpets, furniture, and bedding) as eggs, larvae, and pupae.
Even after your pet is treated, these environmental fleas will continue to hatch, jump onto your pet, and then die. It can take a few weeks of this cycle to completely clear an infestation.
Did the application go smoothly?
Sometimes, a treatment doesn't last the full month because of an application mishap. Check if any of these occurred:
The liquid was accidentally applied to the fur/coat rather than directly onto the skin.
Some of the liquid spilled, meaning your pet didn't get the full dose.
Your pet got wet or was bathed too soon after application, washing the treatment away.
If you stick strictly to your monthly treatment schedule, you will successfully break the flea life cycle and clear your home.
Crucial tips to clear fleas from your home
Treat EVERY pet: You must treat all cats and dogs in your home. Leaving even one pet untreated gives fleas a "host" to keep breeding, undoing all your hard work.
Vacuum constantly: Regularly vacuum your carpets, rugs, skirting boards, and soft furnishings. The vibrations actually encourage flea eggs to hatch, forcing them out so they can jump on your treated pet and die.
Hot wash bedding: Wash your pet’s bedding on a high temperature using a mild, pet-safe detergent.
My dog is still itching
If you have thoroughly checked and are certain the fleas are completely gone, but your dog is still scratching, there may be another culprit.
Pets can itch due to skin infections, environmental allergies, or food sensitivities. If the scratching continues, we highly recommend booking a quick chat with your local vet to get them feeling comfortable again.
