- Remove the pipette from its packaging. Hold the pipette in an upright position, twist and pull the cap off.
- Turn the cap around and place the other end of the cap back on the pipette. Push and twist the cap to break the seal, then remove the cap from the pipette.
- Behind the neck (between the shoulder blades is usually the best spot as this isn’t an area dogs can groom for themselves), part the hair so you can see the skin and squeeze the tube directly on to the skin.
- If they usually wear a collar or harness that might sit over the area, avoid putting it back on for a few hours - otherwise you might find the treatment gets absorbed by the fabric. The same goes for stroking that area and try to do bath time before applying treatment!
- If your dog is a bit worried about being given treatment, remember to make it a positive experience and praise/reward good behaviour!
