How to apply the Flea & Tick Treatment
Applying the liquid pipette is quick and easy. Follow these steps:
Open the tube: Twist off the lid, flip it upside down, and push the top end firmly back into the tip to break the seal. You will hear a distinct click!
Find the right spot: Choose an area on the back of the neck (between the shoulder blades). This is the best spot because your dog cannot reach it to lick it off.
Apply to skin: Part the fur until you can clearly see the skin. Squeeze the entire contents of the tube directly onto the skin.
Clean up: Wash your hands thoroughly, and make sure your pet stays completely dry (no swimming or bathing) for 24 hours after application.
Tips:
Harnesses & Collars: Leave your dog's collar or harness off for a few hours if it sits directly over the application area. Otherwise, the fabric might absorb the medication.
Stroking: Avoid petting your dog on that specific spot until it has fully dried.
Bath Time: If your dog needs a bath, always do it before applying the treatment, not right after.
Anxious Pups: If your dog gets nervous, use plenty of praise and high-value rewards to create a positive association!
How to give the Worming Tablet
How often does my dog need one?
Adult dogs: Typically require a worming tablet every 3 months.
Puppies (under 6 months old): Require a worming tablet every month to support their growth safely.
Crucial Rule: Always administer the worming tablet with or immediately after food. Never give it to your dog on an empty stomach.
Option 1: Hide it in their food
Mix it straight into their kibble or wet food.
You can break the tablet into halves or quarters, or even crush it into a powder.
Mix it into a high-value treat like dog-friendly peanut butter, soft cheese, or tinned sardines (just keep an eye on the extra calories!).
Option 2: Give the tablet manually
If your dog is a master at spitting out hidden pills, you can administer it manually:
Gently open your dog’s mouth.
Place the tablet as far back on the tongue/throat as possible.
Hold their mouth closed gently and encourage them to swallow.
Tip: Stroking their throat in a downward motion naturally triggers their swallowing reflex.
If you struggle with this, you can buy a handy tool online called a "pill popper" to make the process much easier.
