My dog isn't enjoying their dry food - what can I do?
Some dogs can be a bit particular about new foods. If your dog isn’t emptying their bowl right away, don’t worry. We have some tried-and-tested tricks to make their new mealtime extra tempting:
Warm it up
Pop their food in the microwave for just a few seconds. This simple step releases the delicious aromas and can get even the fussiest nose twitching
Add a little hot water
Pouring a small amount of hot (not boiling) water over the kibble can soften the texture and enhance the smell, making it more appealing.
Add some gravy
A tiny splash of low-salt gravy or diluted, yeast-free stock can make the food more interesting.
Top it with wet food
A spoonful of Tails.com wet food mixed into the kibble can be a great way to encourage them to dig in.
Hold the treats
While you’re transitioning, try to cut back on extra treats. This ensures they’re hungry when mealtime comes around.
Try a different flavour
If your dog still doesn’t like their new food, we can create a new recipe with different tastes that are still nutritionally optimised for them.

My dog's dry food is too hard - do you do a soft/chewy kibble?
All of our kibbles are created the same way and are all the same texture. To make it easier for your dog to eat you could soak the kibbles in a little warm water before feeding them. They still receive the same great nutrition, and the warm water releases even more delicious smells.
