How to update your delivery instructions
If you aren’t at home when our couriers come to deliver your Tails.com food, we can easily leave it in a designated safe place or with a neighbour.
You can manage your delivery preferences either directly through your online Dashboard or via your courier's mobile app.
Option 1: Update delivery instructions
If you know in advance that you aren't going to be home, you can update your delivery instructions through your account:
🔑 Important: Please make sure you're logged into your online Dashboard before clicking on the links below:
Choose 'Account' from the main menu bar.
2. Next to 'Delivery Details', choose ‘Update’.
3. Enter your new delivery instructions in the provided field.
4. When you are happy with the changes, choose ‘Save Changes’ to confirm.
⚠️ Important: Please check the 'last date for changes' on your Dashboard. We cannot alter delivery instructions once an order is already in progress.
Option 2: Update instructions via your courier app
If you would like to arrange a contact-free delivery or add highly specific instructions for a specific delivery, the easiest way to do this is "in-flight" using the courier’s mobile app. This ensures the local driver knows exactly what to do.
If your delivery is with Yodel by InPost: The quickest way to add temporary or precise instructions is via the Yodel by InPost App.
If your delivery is with DPD: You can add specific safe-place details or upload a photo of your property via the DPD App.
If you’re not at home when our couriers come to deliver your box we can then leave it in a designated safe place or with a neighbour.
