Is Tails.com suitable for dogs with pancreatitis?
If your dog has been diagnosed with pancreatitis, you can add this as a health condition on your account yourself.
Once you’ve done so, we’ll update your dog’s dry food recipe to make sure that their recipe has a fat level lower than 10%, suitable for your dog’s pancreatitis.
How do I add Pancreatitis as a health concern?
If your dog has been diagnosed with pancreatitis, just log in to your online Dashboard to add this as a health condition. Then follow the steps below:
- Choose ‘Dog profiles’ from the menu bar
2. Scroll down to the ‘Health Issues’ section and select 'Update' next to 'Health issues' as seen below:
3. Select the box next to 'Pancreatitis' as show below:
As shown above, please be aware that we wouldn’t recommend our wet food for dogs with pancreatitis, so if your dog is currently eating our wet food, we recommend that you remove this from your ongoing orders and either just feed dry food or find an alternative wet food elsewhere.
Please note: If your dog has EPI (also known as Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency) or if you’d like your dog’s recipe to have less fat for other reasons, please get in touch with us directly for support with this.
